Outdoor, there are a lot of reasons to be careful about temperature. Basically, most providers of components to computer manufacturers specify a fairly narrow temperature range. Heat can be a problem in any high-performance system and as rotating fans are unsuitable for mechanical reasons, cooling must be made otherwise.
Our computers are built to work reliably in extreme temperature conditions like desert heat, arctic cold and humid jungles. To accomplish this, thermodynamic specialists design our computers. Then, our products are pushed to the limit in test chambers. In addition to tough testing, years of rugged use in the field ensure reliability in the most demanding situations.
No rotating components Our computers do not use rotating fans because vibration and shock often results in a broken fan which in the near future will crash the computer. In addition, fans can also force dirt and moisture into a computer, and thus be the weakest point in a computer's design.
Our computers can be equipped with either rotating or non-rotating hard drives. This ability to choose is important, because storage devices can often be the bottleneck component. Maximum temperature performance can be achieved through non-rotating discs.
However, in cases where the cost of a flash drive is prohibitive, the temperature is reasonable and the mechanical wear and tear is moderate, our computers run satisfactorily well with rotating drives
Chemical test procedure Chemical test are performed by exposing the computer to a chemical solution for one hour in a high temperature (80°C). To successfully pass the testing, the computer is washed clean and should look and work in perfect order. The display screen and chassis must be in "new condition” without stains or damage
Flammability Computers should never be the cause of fire. However a computer that is not designed with fire resistant features can be the "ignite" to a fire with extensive material damages and human injuries. JLT computers will not be the ignition for fire, nor will they serve as good firewood. |
